In the 9th race only 3 horses have won over the distance. Only 2 have won C&D.

Happened a few years ago. Querari Viking and another straight out of the stalls. Objection was upheld.

In the early 80's we won the Durban nursery with Custodian with Paul Gatsby up. Muis Robert's on Kumluckie cut Paul off at the 900m mark and Paul had to ease. Custodian( a front runner) came back to get beaten about a head. ( strained his heart in doing so) Objected and it was upheld.

Hope Lerena doesn't get his money back.
If this gets upheld then we will be getting objections because horses got knocked coming out the gates.
Was always frivolous, he shouldn't get a refund
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

How often do we see horses cutting across others at the start and costing the horse many many lengths?
Very often with our racing and a horse that was supposed to be towards the front or midfield now finds itself at the back of the field sometimes actually losing 10 lengths or more but we never have an objection because of that.

Could be another objection but can the stipes be 100% sure that Smoking Hot would have got past Don't Look Back?

Two bumps but not sure he would have gone past even if the race was 100m longer.
I'm sure plenty are hoping it gets overruled.
