Race 2 named after Costa Livanos great gesture.
Soma treble anyone?? Race 1,8,9
Been waiting a while for Azzie to have a really good sprinter. Hoping sweet future is that. Handicappers will ensure no superstars are created but will be fun to see how she goes for now.
My lucky number is 5

A truly exciting day's racing - the going is officially posted as 'Good to Soft' with the Pen reading at 25 - so probably not that significant - but the draws down the straight could now be more fair to the runners drawn on the inside
; listened to most of the 'experts' - but at the end of the day one lives and dies by one's own opinion - thoughts:
R1: Bit of a minefield - Happy and Glorious does seem a worthy favorite, but any of these could improve over the extra ground; at the weights I think Tinder Dry is the value
R2: I think the betting is wrong; yes Battle Force is getting weight, but I think it lies between ExpressfromtheUS and Ikigai, with a slight preference for Ikigai; roughie to consider could be Wonderwall who has won 3 from 3 in soft going, has won over the track and trip, and has a good daw; Chijmes not that far behind Ikigai last time and is better off at the weights, but I do think Ikigai will improve in his 3rd run after the break, while Chijmes does not have a great draw
R3: Obviously Under Your Spell has won 3 in a row, but no real form to compare her with Desert Miracle and Shield of Roses, who ran the fastest time of the day over this track and trip two weeks ago - so I'm including those in the BP and PA; mention is made by the Peter stable on the TT show of Heaven's Girl (drifted to 20/1) , but not a word about Cold Fact, who tries blinkers and is much shorter in the betting at 7s - so who knows
R4: I see Pyromaniac is a late scratching; dogs are barking about Smorgasbord, so the obvious P6 will have S with the filly Sheela; I am backing them up with Rollwiththepunches who may make them run
R5: Sweet Future rates the one to beat, and I make Gallic Princess the biggest danger to come and chase her down over the last 100m; for me Celestial Love was weighted to win her last two and will find it tougher at these weights, while Tropic Sun seems held here; roughie is Rio's Winter if the inside draw is not too much of a obstacle, while Singforafa is best in on official ratings, so needs inclusion as well
R6: I think Running Brave has everything in her favor and should prove hard to beat at set weights; if she does fluff her lines, any of the others can take advantage; Jet Start an interesting runner as she likes the soft and also has 2 wins and a second for this apprentice - and again mention was made on the TT show about Netta - but not a word about Jet Start  Seehaam is held by Running Brave, but may come closer this distance - if you fancy her to win today, I suggest taking an each-way bet in the July, before the race today - as she is bound to shorten should she win today
R7: The Sprint; Rio Querari has swept all before him over 1000 in the Cape (except for Run Fox Run), so if he has traveled well, should go close; hard to say if True to Life is better than RQ, but she does get 2,5 kgs from him and imo stands out among the local runners; Rivarine won last year, but may not be as effective on soft ground, while Russet Air does try blinkers and is not that far off RQ at these weights, so can be considered as well; Chimichuri Run is better over slightly further, but the going is surely not going to be on top, so he may be able to make his presence felt over the final 100m; really can't see anything else
R8: The BIG one; much has been said; on my ratings, Summer Pudding is the right one, pace may play a part but I think Cirillo's only option to try and beat the top 3 is to pinch a lead at the top of the straight, so I think there will be a fair pace; Got the Greenlight needs to be covered up as late as possible, and to me I can't really split him and Malmoos; I think Barahin may be on the come-back trail, but will be hard-pressed to beat the top 3
R9: At the weights on their last meeting, Don't Look Back has the beating of African Adventure, but AA is a better horse over 3200m, so I don't think there will be much between them; if it does rain again before the race, any of Factor Fifty, Imperial Ruby or Odd Rob can provide an upset
Enjoy

Race 2 I think this is trappy so will put a few in the bipot- 1,2,36,11
Race 3 Under Your Spell looks special but this is a baby race and too short priced for me. Gifted Gal and Supreme Quest look value ew
race 4 Sheela, Smorgasbord and Rollwiththepunches
Race 5 Another tricky one. Will be shouting for Sarah, but all of 1,4,5,8,9 capable. Sweet Future I think is the one to beat
Race 6 Running Brave my banker
Race 7 Open for a Gr1 WFA contest. Rio Querari and True to Life best form but upsets possible 1,4,5,6,11
race 8 Summer Pudding to beat Got the Greenlight and Malmoos, but I'm putting them all in the exotics
Race 9 African Adventure and Don't Look Back to fight it out
