EASTER WEEKEND
4 years 2 months ago
Good morning all and I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and are safe and sound.
It was certainly a weekend to remember for the punters and probably one the bookies will want to forget?
The highlight was watching Malmoos and War of Athena winning the triple crown and tiara.
There was much euphoria about everyone winning the pick 6, however how many punters made a “profit” from the exotic?
Racing was the winner and it reminded many why we love the game, just sad that the public could not attend.
Focus has switched to the Durban July and much speculation who will win the Handicap.
Malmoos and WOA have both been on the boil for sometime and maybe be a bit cautious before taking ante post punts.
Humble Tune makes an appearance at the Vaal today after a couple of disappointing runs, he meets a field of hard knockers with decent recent form.
We are looking for him to bring his track work to the racetrack and are attempting the double B formula (Blinkers and Bling) to get his mind on winning ways.
IMO it’s worth another attempt at around 10/1 , the horse is fit and well and raring to go.
A far as Covid, sure we are all waiting for wave 3 to follow the projection of other countries.
Maybe one day the citizens will rebel against governments pulling all the strings.
The level of SA restrictions are far away from our overseas counterparts.
Let’s hope the sun is what makes the difference but can’t help thinking there is far too much synchronized numbers and confusing information being circulated.
Good Punting
