I dont think it is a mess. Some times you buy a good horse and sometimes not. No one can buy a horse and expect guaranteed results.

They seem to have options and plans going forward.

At least the horses have run, how many of you have bought a horse that never raced and possibly for big money?

Give Charl his due, he has set up a plan B. not many owners get more options when their horse does not perform.

I cant remember Charl promising winners within a certain amount of runs. Plan A was to have runners, have fun and exchange until the wins come. No need for plan B yet.
