Does anyone know why they are using 2100m and not the standard 2000m or 2200m...?

The going could cause upsets today as few opportunities to run on soft turf. However, the Maiden races mostly look like straightforward contests, and some interesting visitors.
Race 1Maestro Sonador the first choice. Dangers Prince of Taranto, Tjoklit, My Lord and Master and Drogarati.
Race 2 Russian Rock should be too good for this lot. Captain of Stealth the danger.
Race 3 Predator the first choice. Dangers are Coral Copy that showed good improvement last start, Secret Giver and Arminius.
Race 4 Koopa Troopa and Top Me Up Holly should fight it out. Gypsy Magic good first local run ( although on poly) and could challenge. Ana Noba improving and could be there.
Race 5 An open race. I’ll go with Favour as he is a turf horse.
Race 6. We have Drama Queen here. Has had a few issues in KZN but those seem sorted out, and may need this run after a 2 month break between races. She has run against stronger than this and hopefully shows something of her old sparkle. Good jockey, but wide draw to contend with.
Very open race, perhaps Jacqueline is the one to beat on her CT form.
Race 7 Competitive race Silver Operator is the one to beat if he is at his best. Mount Anderson good turf form. Baby Shooz a nice roughie for places.
Race 8 Sonjador knocking on the door and overdue a win. Morse tough draw but is capable. After the Rain decent debut and should enjoy this trip. Silver Stardust an interesting first timer.

Captain of Stealth and After The Rain
Trip To India is in good form and looks good value @ 12/1 in the Kings Cup
Filichity By Far looks to be the class package in race 5 and looks worth a nibble @ 6/1
