Of course I know that Frodo.
I'm just saying things as I see it.The horse missed the break and probably cost the connections some good money because of it.You want to blame the horse that's fine.

Crap money. You would think the trainer would make double sure the horse knows what to do at the start before pouring your money on.
David Nieuwenhuizen is way too underrated a trainer.
Give him some of De Kock and Tarry's stock and I'm sure he will deliver.
In all likely hood the stable had a line through Mitch Got His Wish and when they saw how well he did they thought the filly had a chance but good track work does automatically mean good racing - Ask any trainer that has had a Black Minalousse in the yard...Also babies can be spooked by the smallest things - She will come on 5 lengths from that race - Take note of the time of the colts race which was slower than the fillies and the 2 colts were 19 lengths clear of the third horse. You also make no mention of the winner Gifted Gal who was also backed from 7-1 into 5-2 and won - David trained Mirren who was backed from 7-1 into 2-1 and ran 4th so it can and does happen to every single stable in the world -

Remember in that race a horse was trapped backwards in the stall also which can easily affect both jockeys and young horses

Really glad young Solomons won as his confidence must have taken a knock from the stipes inquiry in Kzn -

Go young man go!
He has grown into a "natural" talent - I like the way he finds space up the straight instead of following the pack

I followed him closely when he was in the Cape and stables were backing the horses he was riding.
But his ride on Captains Ransom to chase down Clouds Unfold before the Cape Season stamped him and the filly as ones to follow!
