Congratulations to HS for reaching the 200 winner milestone. In a journey that began on 13 March 2002 when the well named Splendid Night romped that evening trained by Paul Lafferty and steered by Sean Cormac. The 50 winner milestone belonged to Clinton Binda with El Matador with Marco van Rensburg in the saddle, Clint and his wife presented Holllywood a beautiful bronze to commemorate the occasion. The 100 milestone belonged to Ebukhosini, trained by Barry Steenkamp and ridden by Wayne Agrella. on 7th August 2009. All this in 7years and 7 months. The next few years 4-5 years were quiet ones with no bloodstock being purchased but the resurgence started again in October 2014. Winner number 150 was Purple Nkanyezi trained by Garth Puller and ridden by Luke Ferraris 1 November 2019.The 200 milestone yesterday Hope Is Power trained by Clinton Binda and ridden by Jason Gates now starts the next era to 300. Congratulations must also go out to all the equine competitors, grooms, trainers and their assistants. Work riders and jockeys. The 2nd 100 was achieved 2 February 2021, 7 years and 4 months.
