Now that the liquor has worn off and the head is throbbing, and during the cricket, Australia v India, found these :-
Race (1)
Of the raced runners, Starboard look the one to beat. Watch the betting on the first timers.
Race (2)
Will be interesting to see how Starboard goes in the first, as Brave New World finished just ahead in their debut run. The Nel jockey bookings are interesting, probably side with Rose Princess as van Niekerk has being doing the business for the stable in recent meetings, not saying the stable companion can’t win, just think they’ll know which one is doing better back home. My luck, the trainer, if interviewed cannot split the pair.
Race (3)
Really difficult to make a confident choice, the entire field is relatively unexposed and should be open to any amount of improvement. The marginal pick is for Churchhaven because of the draw and ran an improved race since the gelding.
Race (4)
Arctic Ice has proven costly to follow, hoping she sets a more than decent gallop. Chile Jam was fancied last time out. On a line through Wild Creature, Chile Jam should finish ahead of In Your Time, but again, these are unexposed three year olds, anything is possible. Forgetful Girl has improved with every run, expected further improvement and she will be the one they all have to beat. I make this a massive runner, probably worth an on the head punt.
Race (5)
Looks tailor-made for Green Light Gal. Think Fourie has made the correct choice this time round.
Race (6)
If I fancy Forgetful Girl in race 4, then Gertrude Bell must be a pointer. Gertrude Bell’s time on the same day same distance, as Forgetful Girl, is 1.31seconds faster.
Race (7)
Aquabolt or Gainsford, rowing in with Gainsford, extra 0.5 pull at the weights and peak run.
Race (
Hail Columbia, hoping the Drier stable get rolling in the Cape. Excellent come-back run, hoping it kicks on from that.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I'm not sure why Guitar King is Fav - maybe working well but I'll let him win without my money

Lovely summer's day, moderate headwind expected. Course will be fast.
race 1 Starboard best of the raced runners but a skinny price with unknown first timers.
Race 2 Brave New World best of the raced runners, but also a bit short priced with first timers to worry about. Galiek Yo Baby good debut but disappointing second effort.
Race 3 As the breeder, I must be in the camp of Veni Vidi Vicci- will relish the step up in trip. The dangers are Churchhaven, Taking Silk and Brandy'Ncoke.
race 4 Duchess of Sussex good debut, poor last time- should enjoy the extra and must be respected. Chile Jam went close last time in a decent field and will fight it out. All of Arctic Ice, Forgetful Girl and In Your Time will win their maidens soon. Adira bred for the extra.
race 5 Larentina well below best last four runs, and dropped 13 points from her peak. Well in if she can regain her form, but can't be relied on. la Quinta and Green Light Gal most scope for improvement and are my first two picks, but some tough older girls in an open race.
Race 6 Not much between these on exposed form. Gertrude Bell my first pick, from Wild Creature and Opera Swing, but plenty others with chances
race 7 very competirive. Green Jacket well in if repeating last run. Nothing between Gainsford and Aqua Bolt and both should be in the shakeup. Elusive Trader gets the services of Marcus, and I make him the one to beat.
race 8 Hail Columbia looks the right one. If he fails then anything can win.

Despite all the pressure on Veni Vidi Vicci, Churchhaven is the right one here.
