As a punter do you have faith in the stipes ability to consistently come to the correct decision in a race riding objection?

Was at function yesterday and not checking the result I would have given the race to second horse ?
It was a good call from Sheldon as he was aware all was not cut and dry 👍

The big problem is that these days most of them are ex jockeys, the problem I have with that is that their old riding friends still ride aswell as trainers. As much as they say they say they are professional, there is still that friendship that can’t be erased.

Definitely an objection was lodged by a member of the Stipes Board and the Objection was UPHELD.
I had no interest in the meeting and don't know the result.:)

No trust in the stipes since Wylie Hall won the July and they gave it to Legislate...:( :(

The objection rule is subjective in it's interpretation hence the inconsistent / illogical outcomes..fix the rule...

I agree it is subjective - how to fix I don't know - as an example I believe the correct decision was taken ito Wylie Hall / Legislate ....

I noticed as a cop out to the wrong decision made yesterday, they made poor Laff read the stripes report to the public, as if he was deciding the outcome, rather than have the actual stipe come and explain the decision on air, as they do in Gauteng. If punters were back on course, this meeting would've stopped then and there, you don't mess with the KZN boys. Refer back to My Sanctuary.

It can only be subjective. How else can it be? Even VAR is subjective. Please don’t propose Hawkeye.

too inconsistent - need to change interference rules to eliminate subjectivity - All inquiries should be posted online or flighted live and the Vote should be open so that we can hear why stipe A votes a certain way - I don't think there is proof of skulduggery but the perception is there - If I can see the trial of Oscar Pistorius live then why as a invested person can I not see why my money was lost or won. Old boys club mentality which kills Racing - We have VAR instantly and we can disagree on the result but at least we can see the rationale behind a decision.. Why is Racing still a member of the Skull And Bones Club? They want to keep skeletons in the cupboard and pretend Racing is part of the Tea and Crumpet era - Get Woke!!!

when a decision is subjective, you can expect any of the possible results. The human factor plays a big role in any choices made and this will never change.

I will refer again yo that objection a few years ago where Bernard beat Karl by 3.5 lengths at Kemilworth, and the decision was still given to the second horse which just so happened to be the fave.

I am with TNaiker......Whylie Hall was robbed and if that decision was correct then how does Power King keep the race the following year???

The lack of transparency in SA horse racing is what is killing it...

Get on with it, trust your stipe, you have no other choice. The next thing that you will want would be objection by jury, c’mon.

Today it is in the OPINION of the stipes that the aggrieved horse would have won BUT for the interference. You accepted this condition when you wagered your punt.
Before, if one transgressed another, irrespective if one would have won the race, then one got the chop. Bush Telegraph vs Main Man comes to mind, well according to Jean anyway, oh wait, but that is subjective to Jean.
