Heavy rain expected all of Friday. Must be some doubt about this meeting taking place.

In a way glad, it’s better to have WSB Gold Cup as stand alone

Lots of rain the past few days. Was sunny this morning but some rain again now. Will be heavy and if more rain falls may struggle to complete the meeting. I’m going to focus on Jhb

The sun is out again so - the weather certainly fickle today.
Race 1 Trippin the Stars and Social Butterfly the best of the raced runners but lots of first timers to consider.
Race 2 Fire for Sure good debut and looks the one to beat. Seeking the Stars and Alpha Pappa both good enough form to win a maiden. Again first timers to worry about.
Race 3 Cloud Seeder and Legitimize fair form but drawn wrong side of the track. Kaptein promising debut and narrow first choice. Respect for Spritual Wind.
Race 4 Contact Zone returns from a good run in Durban, and if the traveling has not got to him is the one to beat, but stable jockey is on Look for a Hounds. Quite a strong maiden, Irish Tractor good debut and should challenge. A few others with chances 1,8,9,12
Race 5 Dipladenia good improvement last time and is first choice. Kunming is closely related to Helen’s Ideal and will enjoy the trip. Isla Mauricio looks next best.

race 6 Rascallion another good performer back from Durban an is the one to beat. Noirs Boy and Dubai Lights next best. Sailing Lizard has been off for a year but showed talent and if fit could upset
Race 7 Very open race. Marginal preference for Centillus.
Race 8 Very competitive, no selection.
