Elusive Fort the early leader
4 years 9 months ago
Elusive Fort got his 10th win of the new season ( from 59runners)when Elusive Force beat another of his daughters, Fort Anne today at Turffontein. He has led both the general sires list as well as the sires of 3yo list from day one of the season when Sonic Burst won and 3 of his other 5 runners placed at Kenilworth on 1st August.
He has some decent runners in the week ahead, but the crunch will come on 29th August with the big races on Gold Cup day.

Great stallion and great value... producing winners from 1200m-2400m! We have a lovely horse called Shavout by Elusive Fort. He is going to be smart and then we have another filly just turned 2 by him who is a lovely hopeful as well.
Hoping to send 3 mares to him this year, but still weighing up whether it’s worth keeping them first considering things at the moment.
Great memories of a champ 💪

Congrats PD
Breeding alert request to you or anyone here....
I would like to have a punt on an EF offspring from the original connections that made your horse famous(Mr Woodruff, and the Khans,E&M)
Curious...were you also involved with the breeding of Variety Club?
I was at Clairwood Racecourse (VC beat Beach Beauty) where i saw you for the first time being interviewed postrace. As pleasant as ever!
It was a busy Sat afternoon which included a postponed leg of the Cape Winter Series.
You and Miss Var(both dressed in black)watched the race in the betting foyer.
You guys were chirping away during the race, but went quiet when BB moved in to challenge VC.
the rest is hstory.
to Sharky
i have my fingers crossed for you until 4.55 pm today.
You and your stable hit strong form in the last two meetings,so hope theres a scratching.

hi
You have me confused with someone else. I had nothing to do with Variety Club which was bred by Anton Shepard of Beaumont stud.

hi Peter
ok apologies there.
I have a another question and you are a font of info on breeding.
i read an aricle on SP regarding Sunshine Lover/TeamV(cant seem to find it again).
somewhere there was mention of a mare Eros Girl by Captain Al.
Is this the same offspring in Turfontein 0509.... r5?
thanks

Yes, same family. Eros’s Girl is a daughter of Cupid which in turn a daughter of Sunshine Lover and by Jet Master so a full sister to Ebony Flyer.
