Mind boggles with Legal Eagle running in PE
Frosty Rain is well named to get the punters off to a warm start.

Is Legal Eagle going to be another Mac de Lago?

Race 1 Sloane best bet of the card for me..16/10 will be closer to 1-1 at the jump. The horse is better of this 1000m and should go start to finish...the form of the last race was good..even Herrin running 26 lengths off came out to run a decent third.
The swing for me is the run of Eternal Hope and Sugar Gum...in previous meetings in comparison to Frosty Rain...whereby Frosty Rain was 6 lengths behind Sugar Gum' which Eternal Hope was 0.75l in a previous race to Sugar Gum. Sloane has been running within a length behind Eternal Hope...so I see the difference of 3-4 lenthgs as enough for Sloane to just hold on. I know Frosty Rain has tons of improvement to come' but think the faster horse will hold on in the fast running track today.
If it was over 1200m then I would of said Frosty Rain will catch the front runner. But over 1000m I'm all in win or loose.
Regards

Well if Mike Tyson comes back...... really no reason why this Champion Horse should not be retired with dignity - R48k first prize and the guy has won over 12 bar in stakes... shame

Race 1 We have Absolutely Fab making her debut. Should need the experience, and further. Sloane should win this, with Frosty Rain the main danger of the raced runners. Our filly should be running on, and has the benefit of a nice draw.
Race 2. Perfect Pathway did enough in CT to suggest that she should win a few in PE, and can win this although looking for further. Mary Moon also needs further and is another that should not take long to win in PE. The money for Forries on Friday should be respected.
Race 3 I'm surprised to see Bengal Crimson so short in the betting- all of Power Shot, Croisade de Veriteand Amazing Tune have sufficient form to win this.
race 4 No selection
Race 5 Exion and Ghalyoon are my picks to fight this out, with Falling for You the danger.
Race 6 No selection
Race 7 Legal Eagle should walk this unless he has lost interest in racing. Not much between Madame Speaker, Hooves of Troy, Bold Coast, Let's Play Ball and San Paulo at the weights.
Race 8 A very open race. We have Mistress of Means running. She showed good early promise, and then let us down badly her last two starts. The break should have done her good. This should be a bit sharp for her, and she should need the run, but she is well in at the weights on her best form and we are hoping that she can show that she can return to form.

18/10 for LE must be worth a punt.
Sure horse still has a zest for racing and owners in for a bit fun.
Look forward to the race.

Yesterdays Vaal meeting saw rough results. Todays meeting looks like a mine field.
PeterD's summary tends to confirm.
Tomorrows card looks more punter friendly.

If LE is fit and well and adapted to wind sheet in the eyes...he wins by 5 lengths as he is weighted to win.
Lovely owners.. good punters an love the game. Good on them to enjoy the racing by leaving him to entertain us.
Why 18/10 is not 1-1 by now....if it was total confidence? Nevertheless I bankered him PA and in 1 P6 and added Purple Diamond and Madaam Speaker in a smaller perm.
