HOLLYWOODBETS - Swedish Horse Racing

Did anyone else get the same treatment for Hollywoodbets, without even a phone call OR email???
They priced up the favourite at 50-1 and i took 2000 to 40. Fav won & they didn't result for ages(even after the next few races) then i see they paid me an even 40 without any phone call, email or anything!!! haha The 'Hefers' need the money more than me! I feel good xx Try call them if you make an error when you place a bet! All lines are closed during COVID lockdown!!! One way street! Knuts

I think genuine mistakes happen and there has to be trust between you and your bookie, so I would just let it go.

I agree Dave, but try call just ONE of the contact numbers at HW. all closed! So even if you wanted to WARN them of a problem you cant! Shouldn't only be a one way street.

Bob, I must say that this happened once with me and Interbet. They priced a 5/10 fave at 5/1. I took R5000/R1000. They paid me within moments. No fuss, no hassle. That's why you have limits on bets, so they don't go bankrupt when making mistakes like these.

All those guys with Swedish bets on the incorrect price were paid out at 2/1.

So gazza was refunding his 40 and credited 80 on top of that. Too many chancers to contact all of them.

Dave. Whilst I agree with you in principle, I can confirm, and I'm sure HWB will also confirm, that there have been numerous times over the past month when the favourites or shorter priced horses in sweden have been priced up at long odds with HWB. Does this then take away responsibility for bookies to price up correctly?
What about all other bets in the race, example people who take bets on the false lower priced favourites that are priced up in affected races? Do they get their odds increased? Stakes refunded?

I am sure this is the reason WSB stopped pricing up in advance in swedish races.

I took 500/10 and now my account have been cut to a R100 limit. I've been a loyal customer for the last +-15 years and are way down overall. So the guy that does the pricing make a balls up and then he penalize everyone. Makes me wonder if the bosses know what the appies in charge do. I do admit i sometimes take a price if i see other bookies got a horse shorter but in the overall scheme of things i'm way behind. They obviously not desperate for business .....

I can't say that I am surprised T-Rex. A few years ago, I was quick to snap up higher odds in UK Racing (It would take Hollywood a few minutes longer than some other betting sites to shorten the odds of a horse being backed). I believe my limit was R10 000 at the time so I was definitely not making a killing nor was I betting on every race or every race meeting for that matter. Overall, I was definitely way behind from years and years of betting with them as well. Soon after hitting a few of these winning bets on horses that did shorten and won, they reduced me to a R1000 limit. I then decided to voice my disappointment on this platform about unfair treatment and unfair betting limits. They immediately closed my account. In my opinion, Hollywood Bets are very unprofessional & sore losers.

truth be told LJ - they're ALL sore loosers.

have ONE decent win & U are generally CHOPPED with future bets........ & they certainly don't take into account the THOUSANDS we are BEHIND over the last few years... very short sighted indeed !
