Very sad indeed.Unfortunately many of us do not have the capacity to leave this beautiful country and therefore have to endure all this type of behaviour.......

I just received some whatsapp messages saying the horse called Mark The Doorman was killed and other horses running loose. I hope the info is wrong and no horses were killed or injured

Just received a voicenote saying FOUR horses dead. Two stabbed, two with legs broken by these savages.

I suppose certain ppl will still think it is wrong for the owners and trainers to get security with guns. Well, i say start shooting. Police wont help. Keyboard warriors wont help...so what else can u do? Just stand by and watch innocent animals die? I dare these grooms to hurt any of our horses. I F-ING DARE YOU!!!

Horse racing administration needs to do something about this savagery.

A programme needs to be introduced where you can't just take any Tom, Dick and Harry from side of the road to help at your stable as it is cheap labour.

An 1-year academic course of sorts with set minimum requirements:
6 months of theory with an exam.
6 months of practical with an exam.

This will then be seen as skilled work and can necessitate a pay increase.
It'll also weed-out those who don't have a passion for these animals or racing...

Sad state of affairs which will only get worse if the authorities (police/gov) sit on their hands and don’t do anything about this

Psychopaths deserve what comes to them and you could not point a finger at anyone taking retribution as animals cannot defend themselves

Yvette was threatening to leave SA last time, so reckon this was the final straw. She will leave now.

And then the while lot will sit without a job.....and nobody will hire any of them in the racing industry again cos they know they are violent and dint care for the animal

I just saw video footage and pics of the dead horses. I cannot believe what I saw! How can such cruelty prevail?? HOW?!!
