Treble, races 2 - Our Prized Jewel, 3 - Viva Rio and 4 - Apollo Ace, this will pay for the lunch and drinks, and that's not all, with the change, have a bet on your Sunmet fancy.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Here follows the trainer comments ahead of Tuesday’s race meeting at Kenilworth.

JANUARY 14, 2020
Race 1

Mike Robinson

No 5 Alloverthepuppies is a nice horse but will need the experience.

Piet Steyn

No 6 Katak will need the run.

No 8 Rain Keeps Falling will need the run.

Race 2

Paul Reeves

No 3 What A Jewel is in a tough field but is working well and has an Eachway chance.

Brett Crawford

No 5 Nippy Sweetie will need the run.

No 6 Our Prized Jewel is working well and has a Place chance.

Race 3

Candice Bass-Robinson

No 3 Snow Report: Prep run for the million dollars, should be in the money.

Race 4

Mike Stewart

No 1 Icon Princess is an underrated filly.

No 5 Al Bragga took more runs than was expected to break his maiden but we are hoping he realizes his potential and wins a few more. He is my preferred choice.

No 6 Al Wahed should be on top of them at the finish.

No 7 Icon King is being prepared for another race.

Candice Bass-Robinson

No 3 Apollo Ace always give an honest effort, and will have a winning chance again.

No 4 Dragon Power: Good winning chance with a kilo turn around with Apollo Ace, as such, our slight preference here.

Race 5

Paul Reeves

No 3 Pippielangkous is speedy and can place.

No 7 Nanna Anna might find this 1000m a bit short but will be doing her best work at the finish.

Race 6

Candice Bass-Robinson

No 4 Miss Honey has been dropping slowly in the weights but looks to have her work cut out in this field.

Race 7

Candice Bass-Robinson

No 3 Cruise Along can win a race like this, if she brings some of her previous form to the track.

No 6 Gimme Gimme Gimme: Good run from her last time from the tail of the field, draws well here and will be right there again.

No 9 Sweet Karma: Holding form well, each way chance. She looks the value at her price.

Paul Reeves

No 7 Chilly Winter tries further and I am hoping she can run a nice race.

Race 8

Candice Bass-Robinson

No 2 Mayfern: Good first run out the maidens, and should be included.

No 7 Rock Trip has a big winning chance.

Paul Reeves

No 8 Duntoche tries further. Is well drawn and has a place chance.

RACE ONE

NO.4 EMPIRE GLORY

5/1

Not much pace in the race 😒...No pace at all actually
Which will be perfect for Empire glory to Race handy...and Finish of strongly!

ALLOVERTHEPUPPIES
Best bred in the race...
20/1....
Trainer says will need experience...But this is a mediocre Field!
Won't take much to beat them!

Another cracking Malherbe commentary

“Katak has come off bridle and starting to lose touch”

Dumpy Schoeman gets pasted on a regular basis, but on current form he would win the popular vote in a run off vs Malherbe.

He seems to miss something crucial at least once a meeting - and let's pray that a 10 horse field doesn't split into 2 and half race down inside rail and other half in the middle of the track.
