A legend of the South African Turf. Rest In Peace, Mr Millard.

Mr Millard, running, first, second and third in the 1986 Durban July won by outsider, Occult. He managed to do the same, in 1990 when Illustrador won, Olympic Duel second and Jungle Warrior dead heating for third with Respectable.

They say that everyone dies but not everyone lives.

Sometimes the following happens Everyone dies and some truly live.

Then sometimes the following happens, everyone dies, some truly live and some leave an imprint.

How can I , Joao Da Mata not have existed on this planet falling in love with the sport of horseracing and not have been imprinted by Mr Terrence Millard. How?

All those wonderful equine athletes, the human athletes under his care and training. The weekly winning of races. Providing Bartie with his July winner, Mark Anthony demolishing the field in the Met. Empress Club, Ecurie it just goes on and on. From one Saturday to the next Saturday growing up in SA with racing twice a week and then once a week watching these amazing champions run and win , week in week out.

RIP Sir. I can never ever thank you for all the memories.

so sad to hear, R.I.P. Mr. Millard the Maestro..

what a combination that was TERRANCE MILLARD / FELIX COETZEE... and it lasted for years and years..... not forgetting Mark Sutherland too, a very accomplished # 2 stable jock.

I could not have said it any better than Easy!! I was blessed to have spent a lot of time "on the road" with Mr Millard and he taught me so much along the way. Time for him to rest in peace now.
