AMEX (Best bet)

5/1     6/1

The horse has been off the track for 130days+
Would a kzn trainer bring a horse all the way to Port Elizabeth,if the horse needed the run

Blinkers go back on
Plum draw of 5

Amex has had 7 career starts
5 out of those 7 starts has been Favorite/2nd favorite

Last 3runs

Won maiden over the 1400m

Went over the 1400m post maiden run....Not striding out

Next time over the Mile Mr64 HANDICAP FINISHING IN 9TH PLACE BUT ONLY 2.45LENGTHS OFF THE WINNER (MADE STEADY PROGRESS)

WHAT A BLANKET FINISH 9TH PLACE 2.45LENGTHS
5 WINNERS FROM THAT FORM LINE!!

RACE 7 ALGOA CUP

Was going to go with OLLIVANDER
2nd in 2017 Algoa cup behind Nebula
Basically carries the same weight he did 2years ago,but has a better draw today, the thing is though... Hasn't won since maiden victory
6 places offered in this race Ollivander is at 2.33/1 For 6th place Wait for the drift could get 3/1

PLATINUM PRINCE (STRONG WINNING CHANCE)

HOME TOWN BOY IN THE SADDLE
MR5000
GET'EM STRIKER

15 Draw a concern....Nope naah No   The Blonde Bomber is in the pilot seat

Snaith has said in past interviews..."always watch out for Platinum prince, don't know when he'll pop up "

Platinum prince last 4 post race comments

Stayed on (1400m)
Finished strongly (1400m)
Late progress (1700m)
Made steady progress (2000m)

800m straight today..

Switch platinum prince off at the back from the wide draw...power house finish up that long straight

Around 8.5/1 Now
Maybe 10/1 or more later on

Race one

Tough start

Number 2/3/4/5 all have winning chances

But I'm going with the biggest priced of the 4 runners

GIVEMETHETHUMBSUP (E/W)

No pace in this race

GIVEMETHETHUMBSUP has moderate form finishing in the placings 50% of the time (6runs/3places)

Blinkers on today

4runs back over C/D finished 2nd beaten 0.50lengths
Set pace stayed on

Draw 2 and seeing as their no pace in the race
Should go the front and could repeat that 2nd place effort...but this time hold on for the win!

CHAKRI (WIN)

5/1

Best bred in the race!!

I tipped her the first time she won at Fairview over the 1600m(easily won)
And then said after the race....she'll win her next start easily as well!!

She ended up finishing in 4th place over the 1800m poly
The pace was way off in that race...because she came speedy out the gates and wanted to go quick upfront...But the jockey was looking for cover...got tired at the 1400m

Back over the mile today open looking field (WIN,WIN,WIN)

BY 5 LENGTHS

My runners today
Race 2 Elusive Green has been a bit frustrating- she was not far off in stronger maidens in CT and I assumed that she would quickly win one after moving to PE. Has gone close a few times, and I think the best of the PE fillies. The CT raider has been priced up a strong favourite, but will need to step up on what she has shown in her first two to justify that, I think that we are good ew value.
Race 3 Twin Falls is a small filly which has been suffering under too big a rating since winning her debut. She is one that has not made the usual WFA improvement and I think still too high in the ratings. We are stepping her up in trip, and I am not sure if she will see it out on this testing track.
Royal Agree is possibly past her best and has been inconsistent lately. On best form she could surprise.
Race 7 Seeking Wisdom is very game and she is distance suited. By limiting the top weight of 60kg to MR 104, this race is essentially a glorified B division handicap. There are a few that look underrated such as Ollivander and Cat Daddy and the CT horses have all been running against stronger so this is a tough task for her, but she must have a squeak on best form.

JUNGLE FAIRY (E/W)

Poor efforts in last 2runs
Previous form is good and has placed over distance and course and trip

She seems to run better from the wide draws

3runs back over C/D
Draw8-8
Finished in 4th place FM81 handicap
3lengths behind the winner CHAKRI
Made late progress

Back on the turf today!!
