RACE 1 :
1st four selections

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - ARABIAN SNIPER : He has his first run and
will run well.
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 2 and 6 - DIVINE LAW & THOMAS TUCKER :
Divine Law gets the blinkers stepping back in trip, a good run is
expected. Thomas Tucker will run well, but he could prefer turf.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 4 - CROISADE DE VERITE : Expecting improvement.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 5 - QUARARI’S VALENTYN : He has his first
run, he does show pace at work but is expected to need the experience.
This is a starting point and an educational run.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 8 - OYSTER BAR : She is a 1000m specialist.
She was bumped around in the final stages last time out, still ran a
fair race and though she takes on the boys here, she is always trying.
RACE 2 :

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 2 and 3 - FALCON ROCK, ALPINE GLACIER &
FOREHAND : Falcon Rock is consistent and can earn again. Alpine
Glacier is temperamental but he has ability. He is not expected to
need the run. Forehand ran a good race in her last and similar again
is expected.
• TARA LAING - Number 6 - DI ME : He has a chance in a small and
very competitive field.
RACE 3 :

• JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 2 - COIN MISTRESS : She ran a good race
last time out and I am hoping for a repeat.
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 4 - ASCENDING HEIGHTS : Ascending Heights is
improving with each run and has an each way shout.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 5 and 7 - HALLO ROSIE, COMET PATH & TIME
CATCHER : Hallo Rosie is always thereabouts. Improvement is expected
from both Comet Path and Time Catcher.
RACE 4 :
1st four selections

• TARA LAING - Number 3 - HIGH SOCIETY : She has her first run for
the yard and on Poly, is expected to improve and can place.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 5 and 6 - CABALLE, IM GLOBAL &
NEVERTHELESS : Caballe and Im Global both try further and are expected
to enjoy it. Nevertheless is always thereabouts and has a quartet
chance.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 2 - CONVENTION : She ran an improved race
in her last and similar is expected.
RACE 5 :
1st four selections

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - HARD CORE : He ran a good last and hoping
for a repeat.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3 and 7 - SPIRIT OF SONG & DUET : Spirit of
Song has solid form and should be there again. Duet tries the mile and
should enjoy it.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - COUNTRY ROCK : Back off an enforced rest,
he has come back well, is working well and is not expected to need
this.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 5 and 10 - MASTER DESIGN & ADIOS AMIGO :
Master Design has his second run after a lay off. Adios Amigo has fair
form, he does try further.
TARA LAING - Number 8 - BEETHOVEN : He battled for pace over the
1300m last time out and is expected to enjoy stepping up to the mile.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 2 and 9 - RECONNAISSANCE & HOME RULER :
Reconnaissance has his first run for the yard and off a lay off. He is
a nice horse and if he doesn’t just need it a nice run is expected.
Home Ruler will appreciate further, the 1300m in her last was sharp.
She does have her second run since relocating, but she has come on.
RACE 6 :

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 4, 8 and 11 - KIMBERLEY STAR, LORD
WINDERMERE & RINGS AND THINGS : Kimberley Star’s rating needs to drop.
Lord Windermere is generally very consistent, things did not go his
way in his last and he can do better, he loves the Poly. Rings and
Things is well weighted and has a winning chance.
• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - LORD BALMORAL : He ran a good last
and was finishing well. He is working well and a good run is expected.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 7 and 12 - LETS PLAY BALL & COUNTING STARS :
Both horses are as honest as they come. 1400m is Lets Play Ball’s
game, he just needed his last and a good run is expected. Counting
Stars steps back to 1400m, he will give of his best and could earn.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 9 and 10 - THE HIGHWAY MAN & AMAZON KING : The
Highway Man enjoys track and trip. I’ve been waiting for the 1400m for
Amazon King and a decent effort is expected.
TARA LAING - Numbers 3 and 6 - EXELERO & OMEGA ONSLAUGHT : Exelero
will be better back to the 1400m. It is a tough race but he is not
without chance. Omega Onslaught has been running on well over shorter
of recent so tries the 1400m, he could place.
RACE 7 :

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 3 and 7 - RUBY DAWN, TUYUCA & I LOVE
MAMBO : Ruby Dawn has her post maiden run, she is up in class, but did
win her last well. Tuyuca must do more. I love Mambo finished very
well in her last, she is back in trip, but tries the blinkers and has
an each way chance.
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 8 - STEADY BREEZE & VIVA LE BLEU :
Steady Breeze is expected to improve. Viva le Bleu ran on well in her
last and should enjoy the extra.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - ANGEL JOLEE : Though she does appear to
enjoy the mile, she has done well over the 1300m that she steps back
to here. She was cut into in her last unfortunately, but it did
explain her under par run and better is expected here.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 10 - NEVERLETUGO : She is well drawn and
could run into quartets.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 11 - HONEY SUITE : She ran an improved last
and hoping she can repeat.
RACE 8 :
1st four selections

• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 3 and 7 - DUBULA, SEVILLE & ALWAYS
DANCING : Dubula is in good form and can be there. Seville was unlucky
in his last and has a winning chance. Always Dancing has fair post
maiden form and will be there again.
• GAVIN SMITH - Number 9 - KINGSMAN : He tries the Poly but is
showing good work.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 10 - SHOOTING STAR : He ran a good post
maiden in his last, has a light weight, is well drawn and can run into
quartets.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 4 - TRAVEL IN STYLE : She ran a very good
last against stronger and will enjoy the extra here.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 8 - AFLEET FLYER : Hoping for improvement.
