Sounds like more tinkering to me - so the way to 'protect' a good horse's rating, is to compete (and not win) in 3 Maidens - and get a MR - then enter into a weak handicap (hopefully winning easily) - and due to the restrictions placed on rating horses winning handicaps, it will come out with a reasonable rating - so more opportunities for skulduggery imo :huh:

i will say agin NHRA and Handicappers are messing up as they go.

i predict a Owners boycott shortly. owners will refuse to allow trainers to nominate their horses.

until RA disbanded, P engages directly with Owners

soon we will have SA sponsoring Mauritius racing just to rub salt in teh woulds of hardr pressed local owners. we take stakes cuts less races amd they having holidays in Mauritius
