10y.o. MAIDEN might run next week.IS THIS A S.A. RECORD ?

10y.o. MAIDEN DAMASCUS HOSTESS, has been accepted to " run " at the Vaal next week, but FINAL fields are not complete yet.

should she make the final field, will this be a S.A. record as oldest MAIDEN to try & crack that ELUSIVE WIN..... in fact elusive PLACE. She is yet to earn a cent yet. ( MR 30 - is there any othet horse lower than this ? )

At least SHE IS LIGHTLY RACED..... she is a 10 y.o. who has only had 11 starts so far - so we may yet still see her " race " in 2 or 3 years to come.

cats, it's obvious that this horse has VERY LIMITED ABILITY, be fair to the horse & call it a day, & let it enjoy it's retirement gracefully - as opposed to the daily workouts this poor animal has to endure ( and punishment in the race when the horse is given the STICK 800m from home, trying to keep up with the rest )

let her run - we don't stop jocks, trainers and tipsters that are useless so as long as she's not in pain let her run

Remember the days when 5yr old maidens were not allowed to race in the major centres..you had to take the horse to Bloem to race!

the thing is she keeps getting a run because other trainers are not accepting at finals - she should not actually ever get a run if trainers nominate runners for races she contests and accept- i wish her the best at least her owner is seeing her run unlike other horses that are being kept in boxes in the hope that they will develop ability due to divine intervention!!
