Leaving aside money earnings ( it is as difficult to win a Grade 1 at 500k prize money as it is at 1 500k prize money otherwise the grading system does not work) and focusing purely on results and merit in graded races it has to be JJ for the horse of the year imvho. The Met and The July are glorified handicaps.

Just my opinion of course.
