I'm not an account holder so can't take a bet with them, but maybe someone can try taking two big outsiders in each race (just for a buck maybe) and hopefully lose and see if they actually take your money or if the bet comes up as unsettled.
I took 2 doubles yesterday - My 'losing' double has a status of 'Lost' - and my 'winning' double now has a status of 'Void'

That's daylight robbery.
So you win they give you your money back and if you lose they keep your money?
Make a big fuss about it Frodo, that's fraudulent practice,go to the gambling board if you can.
They need to give back everyone's money they kept from these bets as there was no way they could lose anything only gain.
I bet they know exactly what they are doing.
The bet hasn't been available for weeks now, wonder how much money they have made off this?

Unethical business practise of the highest order. I would close down my account with them immediately if I had one.

All these little things are eating away at the sport of horse racing.
I cant see people throwing there money into a sport that is having more and more issues by the day.
This time next year HORSE RACING will be a much smaller entity in SA.
I would report GBETS to the gambling board have their licence revoked.

Oh Geez...
Settling your losing bet as a loser is far worse than not paying your winning bet imo grrrrrrr

Ethics Bob.
They knew after the first day when the bet wasn't available that they didn't pay out the winners as the bets would be unsettled or void.
Why then did they still let people take bets knowing that they wouldn't pay out if they won but would keep the punters money if they lost?

I plan on following up next week - I want my stake for the losing doubles returned as well (luckily I made print-outs of the bets and the outcome) and an apology, else I think the Gambling Board is the next step .... just out of principle

I reckon the proper thing to do would to pay out at the official starting prices. So if both were evens as an example, pay out the 3/1 and stop offering odds on events that dont take place.
It would be interesting to see what arrangements were made if other punters bet into this and lost. I agree with IM the Gambling Board would punish them. I just wonder what the red tape will be like and whether you have the appetite to endure the process.
