CAPTAIN HOOK (WIN)
comparing CAPTAIN HOOK AND TOM TOM last runs over the 2200m poly
Captain hook was favorite and finished 3rd,0.35lengths of the winner
Tom Tom finished 2nd,0.50lengths of the winner
Captain hook win time was 137.48
Tom Tom win time 143.3
Captain hook should go to the front and with a faster win time, can win start to finish!!

Tough handicaps again with collateral runners all seemingly on the up, which leaves one having to judge by weights and draws. Fully understand some selections above, like the Whiteleaf Hills race, but that formline seems to have a few progressive ones looking for the win...and more.
So I kept working through and by God if Ribovar wasn't 6 years old I'd have had a hardon. Fabulous draw fortunes this time around, 49 days of graft and the lightest weight of the mid-MR 60s ponies. The jockey also doesn't inspire confidence, but apart from all that it has the best chance with both Greeff's and others carrying more lead. Tough again but at 10/1 I bet my R5.

AWAKENING (WIN)
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 7 - AWAKENING : He will run an improved race from a better drawn.
Best Draw this horse has cracked in awhile
Last 3runs
2poor runs over the 1900&2000m
And a short head second over the C/D from Draw 11
Beating most of today's field in that race!!

Yes Biggy I also looked at it...
Just feels like the Vaal yesterday, and who knows what discussions occur before the off with so many collaterals. Then as you rightfully say draw and weights play a part, but we are talking 2200...In my opinion, the selections the fellas made and you did, could all win, but as we cannot really cancel most out, I wouldn't touch that race.
