Rough estimates are that the court cases of PGL cost Racing some R35M and in the end, Racing has ended up some R300M poorer.
Basically, instead of declaring war, common ground could have been sought and worked on together, between Operators and Bookies.

I have always been opposed to the Open Bet. However, the last thing that could sort that out would be arrogance and lawsuits. I am sure that the two parties in KZN will work something out, in this regard.

Further, I would be surprised if John Stuart/PGL was negative about the Hollywood bets/GC deal. To me, John has a very good feel for Racing and is a great negotiator. If he was in charge before the lawsuits started, those would not have happened, imho. So, I think that all in Racing will be fine with the deal.
To me, Hollywood Bets are very passionate about Racing and have always promoted the game and I have always admired them.

Congrats to Hollywood. In my experiences they are not shy to invest in the industry and to many sports clubs and underprivileged causes , who really need it. They encourage competition and we need all players who benefit from industry to follow suit. no matter what problems the industry is facing , this is healthy. enough negativity. i am looking forward to my annual few days in durban for the july and to view
