"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon Session' Saturday 2 August Workings.

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed and went as follows:

The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.68 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.8, and with being around 2.74 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.74. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.1 and beyond, so a chance for a 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.....

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7 and with being 2.6, and getting shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.6 max. The lay had to work very hard, but got the win, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......

The 4th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being a very well supported 2.34 and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.34 max. The lay and gamble was well beaten, so gamble foiled and a good result.........

The 5th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being that and shortening on arrival, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The lay came in an unlucky 2nd and so a good result.........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.9, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.81 (2.8 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.45 on arrival and never came down to us at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so 'one that got away in hindsight'......

The 7th runner we wanted 1.6, and with drifting to around 1.62 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......

The 8th runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.65 on arrival and not coming back down to us, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr. Early traders happy though......

The 9th runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.2 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.....

The 10th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.8 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'....

The 11th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.62 on arrival and not coming down to us, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave......

The 12th runner we wanted 3.3, and with being a big 4.9 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift more than justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'......

The 13th and final runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 2.3 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave......

WELL PLAYED.........

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2.5 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on the 2nd runner..........They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after a little battle, they hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 7th runner)..........They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 9th runner, and with a good result and then running out of any more potential lays left, they ended this strategy winning 0.5 of a target and so 2.5 on the session......

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.5 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets.......Then came a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that bought a tiny profit.........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.6 max, but a poor result see them give a chunk back........Then came their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.34 max, and a good result see 4 runner builders hit their targets...

5 runner builders needed a tiny bit more, so played on and had their 4th lay (the 5th runner) at 2.32 max, and a good result see them hit their targets...

'Traders' either won, or broke level, on all their trades, so well played guys and good luck this evening..

So builders made light work of the session and well played guys. Rollers hit 2.5 targets, so a good day all round. I'm not involved for this evening as off out (as said earlier) and so good luck and speak in the morning at the latest.

Our price 9/5 (2.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.5, or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that she has shown she can race prominently, so no surprise to see her do so again this afternoon*

2.40 Goodwood. PERFECT STRIDE (2.74)

Our price 21/10 (3.1) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.8 or under.

Our price 11/5 (3.2) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.9, or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All the races were priced up, with non runners taken into account, up until 10.12am.

That's our work for this afternoon then. Plenty to think about, and again looking tricky and testing, especially with several races on top of each other, so any delay will mean we have to miss a race or three, but not a problem as we'll just do what we can and take each race as it comes to us. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings.
