The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held at its offices in Turffontein on 31 May 2019, Trainer Mrs H Adamson was charged with a contravention of Rule 73.2.7.
The particulars of the charge being that an Out of Competition plasma specimen which was taken from the horse SEA LIKE GLASS at her Vaal Stables on 8 March 2019 disclosed upon analysis the presence of Flunixin, a prohibited substance in terms of the Rules of the NHA, and the administration of which was not accurately recorded in her Veterinary Treatment Register.
Mrs Adamson pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Inquiry Board found Mrs Adamson guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a fine of R18 000.
Trainer Adamson has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.

All gone quiet from the normal bashers of Kimberley and their trainers, suppose using banned substances in other centers is just fine then.

.....not all dope is dope....and there are degrees of doping ....like making dead legs or giving an upper....FYI Flunixin a NSAID is also a colic remedy for relieve from stomach pain.....now we know that a vet can only administer this medication ....however the way they charge and Mrs A is not exactly rolling in the bucks.....resorted to doing it at a cost saving.... but instead has had to pay that rather hungry NHRA kitty.....I wonder how they knew to pull a sample. ... she must have pissed off a vet....

I would say that the frequency of transgressions per centre, the number of repeat offences per trainer/official, as well as the occurrences of other infringements aggravates the situation.

I will bite.
Rules are rules and banned substances being found deserve the shaming and penalties that occur.
Animal cruelty is an entirely different matter. When you work that one out the halo around your bff will diminish forever.

Let this sink into your head once and for all. I find any form of animal cruelty despicable.
So drop that line from any of your next posts as it does not wash.

You not too bright.
Ask Ziets what Human got kicked for. Then work out why anyone would run an animal who was in pain.
