Following heavy rain over the past few days Gold Circle has been forced to make an early decision regarding the race meeting scheduled for Scottsville on Sunday, 28 April.

More than 78mm of rain has fallen at the Pietermaritzburg track over the past three weeks and with more rain predicted for the rest of the week, the decision has been made to move the race meeting to the Greyville Polytrack.

“With the forecast of more rain coupled with the Scottsville track already being soft, it makes sense to us and in the best interests of all stakeholders, to make an early call to switch the meeting to the Greyville Polytrack,” said Sheik.

“Declarations closes today so this will enable trainers to make a positive decision with regard to their runners,” added Sheik.
