TRAINER COMMENTS :



RACE 1 :



• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 3 and 4 - ADALGISO, ALRIGHT JACK & BLACK KNIGHT : Adalgiso ran a good race on Friday, he tries Poly which he is expected to enjoy and has a chance. Alright Jack should also enjoy Poly with the speed he shows in his races and he can improve. Black Knight can also improve on a new surface.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 6 - AEMILIANO & DUET : Aemiliano ran a decent first race last time out and should be thereabouts again. Duet is improving with each run.





RACE 2 :



• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 5, 6 and 7 - CALANDRA, LACE, MYTHICAL GIRL & PLACE DU MARCHE : Calandra and Place du Marche have their first runs. Lace has run her best race so far on Poly, so back on the surface better is expected from her. Mythical Girl ran a great debut race on the surface and can follow up.

• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 3 and 8 - FEARLESS FAIRY & SCARBOROUGH FAIR : Both fillies have their first run on the Poly surface and around the bend in a race. They have galloped on the track and went well enough, so we are hoping for fair good efforts from both.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 4, 9 and 10 - DOMINICA, HOLLYWOOD THUNDER, VELVET BROWN & XTREME AIR : Expecting improvement from Dominica. Hollywood Thunder is drawn well and can place. Velvet Brown has her first run and could need the experience, but she will appreciate the good draw and apprentice claim. Hoping for improvement from Xtreme Air.





RACE 3 :



• GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - GREY MISSILE : She tries the blinkers and can further improve, but having the second run after the break is a concern.

• ALAN GREEFF - Number 6 - ICE MINT : She has her first run for the yard and on Poly. It may be a touch sharp but she is expected to enjoy the surface and can feature.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 5 - MY BOY JACK & SPORT CHIC : My Boy Jack is always thereabouts. Sport Chic enjoys track and trip.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 2 - KING OF PROMISE : He has done his best over 1000m on the Poly and I’m hoping to see him drop out and run on.





RACE 4 :



• ALAN GREEFF - Number 6 - CIRENCESTER ROSE : She has a chance in an open field even though against the boys.

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 7 - NEVERLETUGO : She is coming back off a short break and though she takes on the boys she’s honest and will run well.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1 and 5 - DUKE OF HAZARD & CASEY JAY : Duke of Hazard ran well on Poly debut and we’re hoping to place. Casey Jay should prefer Poly.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 3, 4 and 8 - TARIQUE, CHANONE’S THEORY & MARIE ANTOINETTE : Tarique ran flat race on Friday and we are hoping for better. Chanone’s Theory is better suited to this trip and we’re hoping for improvement. Marie Antoinette is working well and could manage the back end of quartets.





RACE 5 :



• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 2 and 3 - MINDMYMOOOOD & BALTIC DANSEUR : Mindmymooood is consistent and always in with a chance. Baltic Danseur ran a cracker in his first outing on the Poly last time out, he is really loving the surface and is in with a shout.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5 and 8 - CONQUERING KING & PIPER CUB : Conquering King is always thereabouts. Hoping for improvement from Piper Cub.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 1, 6 and 7 - ENGADINE, TIBETAN ROUGE & GRACI LITEHOUSE : Engadine will be better over this trip and has a place chance. Hoping for improvement from Tibetan Rouge. Hoping for further improvement from Graci Litehouse Cat.





RACE 6 :



• ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - AFRICAN MESSIAH : He has a winning shout.

• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3 and 6 - SEATTLE SWING, WHEEL OF TIME & EMERITO : Improvement is expected from Seattle Swing. Wheel of Time has his third run after the lay off and should improve. Emerito ran a decent race back off the break in his last and can place again.

SHARON KOTZEN - Number 4 - COUNTING STARS : He ran a good race over the mile last time out and we are hoping that he follows up.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 5 - MAHIR : He is always thereabouts and giving of his best.





RACE 7 :



• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4 and 13 - SPRING BREEZE & KEEP IT GREEN : Spring Breeze is a nice type and she should enjoy track and trip. Keep it Green had excuses for her last and better is expected.

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 5, 8 and 16 - KEEPING SECRETS, PARADE’S END & SALUBRIOUS : Keeping Secrets has her first run on the Poly and though she has her first run out the maidens too, I do think that she’ll run well. Parade’s End over raced badly in her last and she is better than that run suggests. Salubrious has her first run for the yard and will find it sharp.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 7 - INTHEPURPLERAIN : She is not a bad filly and races off decent Natal form, but she could need this.

SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - ANGEL JOLEE : She is having her post maiden run and is up in class, but she loves the Poly and we are hopeful of a good effort.

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 6, 11, 12 and 14 - FAIRYINTHEMIST, ESPRESSIVO, MEGA SCENE, CAPAILL & POPINJAY : Fairyinthemist races off a break and could just need it. Espressivo can place. Hoping for improvement from Mega Scene. Capaill ran a good last race, hoping she can be there again but she may be at best over a furlong shorter. Popinjay is drawn very wide and that is a concern.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 3 and 15 - FLAME OF FIRE & WHO KNOWS : Flame of Fire is drawn badly, we are just hoping to see her tuck in and run on well late. Who Knows can hopefully improve.





RACE 8 :



• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 3 - DYNASTY’S BOY & DUBULA : Dynasty’s Boy didn’t see out the mile in his last and back in trip better is expected from him. Dubula has a winning chance.

• DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 2 and 14 - BARBARELLA NIGHTS & MAN OF FIRE : Barbarella Nights is drawn much better than in his last and he has a place chance. Man of Fire needed his last and will run well.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 4, 10 and 12 - PEN-CHAN, SAMAR & JADEED : Pen-Chan should need this off a break but it is an open field and he could still manage a place. This will be a run to bring Samar on and he will need further. Jadeed has his post maiden run but he is a very honest trier and he could make his way into the back end of quartets.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 6 and 9 - BORN A BULLY & RULE THE WORLD : Born a Bully was badly drawn in his last and improvement is expected. Rule the World ran a good race last time out and should be

Lace runs better on the poly than the grass,if you excuse her 2 grass runs and look at her poly run only

The old saying 'horses make fools of us' is perfect for PE .
Smith gets beaten on the so called good thing in the first(Easy so confident that he asked who wanted to lead in a winner) and wins the second with a 16-1.
Greeff has an odds on shot drift to 2-1 as his first timer comes in for solid support (always scheming one way or the other) and both run unplaced only for his third choice at 28-1 running 3rd.
I'm never unhappy when Greeff greeffs himself.
