So you'll miss Milton & Zanadu when they retire? Lol.

Jokes aside - you are perfectly correct. How the bigger stables with up to 250 horses cannot see their way clear to put in pacemakers is beyond me.

But I forget - the vast majority of SA horses do not stay much beyond 2000m so perhaps a 'rest station' at the halfway mark is a solution.

Especially the first 400m, poor De Melo did not want to go to the front on Cedar Man but the others were so hard held behind him he basically walked out in front the first half a mile
