R5, I think Zanadu (12/1) must have an each way shout? Dropping in class and in distance, could see her be competitive and she could keep rolling.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Normally it gives me great pleasure to post my expectations (hopes!) regarding my mare Zanadu's chances in a forthcoming race :
Unfortunately I can only advise as follows this week :
1.) Until a friend of mine called me yesterday (Thursday) to enquire about her chances I had no idea that she had been entered to run on Saturday. (After her last run 13 days ago I had specifically requested that she NOT be re-entered too soon).
2.) I had a call from the trainer on Wednesday which I was unable to take as I was in Hermanus getting my one car recovered due to a : 'Catastrophic power steering failure. Do not drive this vehicle!'
3.) I immediately sent an SMS in response to the missed call but there has been no further communication since.
4.) It is now Friday & there has been no further communication. I am not inclined to chase after a service provider who has done the exact opposite of what I have specifically & respectfully requested.
I am sure that I will eventually break down and go racing tomorrow (addict!) but I am not particularly happy at the moment.
I am waaay past my sell by date for tolerating unprofessional behaviour. I'm only putting up with it because she is going to be my last horse in training.

Thanks for responding, I believe she should be involved in the finish on exposed form. Break a leg sir.

Silver Maple obviously lots of potential and stable elect but too short in the betting?
Star chestnut with App allowance a danger? Bishops bounty always looked like needed more ground but was kept to sprints with a respiratory issue ...may well be a stable upset in my opinion.

trainers are complaining that ownership is dropping yet some continue to provide a poor service. It was one of the reasons that i got out of owning horses. Absolutely no communication

Race 1: Makaranga Love fair last run, but I’ll stay out of this one as the 4 unraced runners may hold the key.
Race 2: River Thames flopped last time at 8/10 with no excuses, yet no questions from the stipes on the day. He gets another chance today in a weaker field, but wide draw. Cash Call and Engage and Beware look the main dangers.
Race 3: Twice to Sydney a very short priced favorite after good debut. Dangers are Anina and Au Revoir.
Race 4: Je Ne Sais Quoi another odds on shot and should enjoy the extra trip. Dangers are Sparkeling Fire, Epic Storm and Danger Zone. The latter is an interesting runner- Sudden Storm is privately stood at stud by Juan v Heerden. He was an early favourite for the July when a 3yo, before doing a tendon, and was a top class son of Jet Master. Danger Zone again gets a lousy draw, but I like the way she has improved every start, and she will enjoy the trip.
Race 5: An open race. Thanks to Garrick for his comments. I think he should go to the course, as I have Zanadu as a MR 69 over this trip, and hence she is very well in off her official rating of 60. If she is fit and well and fresh enough after a tough race two weeks ago, I can see her getting to the front and not being caught. People who are wondering about the top jockeys who are sitting this one out- initially there were some higher rated entrants and at final acceptances, the weights all went up 2.5 kg when those were scratched. The light weight jocks had thus secured rides already. Parade March has come through his maiden win well, although he was hard ridden that day. He is still improving so an ew shout. The Silva Fox is consistent and distance suited and must be respected. Shabba Ranks another improving 3yo. Troop the Colour is also well in on best form.
Race 6: Another open handicap. I’m going the field in jackpot and pick 6.
Rave 7: Silver Maple is very short in the betting. He is a horse on the upgrade, but meets some hard knockers. Bishops Bounty last two quite disappointing and he tries further. Respect on best form. Nasty Harry is also in with a shout if at best. Our Mate Art and Ready Steady Go also have claims.
Race 8: A tough one to end the day. 2, 8, 9 have good form but wide draws. 1,3,5,7,10,,11,14 all can pop up.
One of those days when you have to decide which of the short priced favourites to bank and which to play against.

I think Zanadu has provided the trainer and jockey with their only win this whole season.
