Is the following correct:
Horse A ( rating yet) finishes 4l ahead of horses B and C,both rated 65, over 1000m.
The line horse used is either B or C:
A Rating for horse A over this dist. is 16 lbs or points better than B & C? ie 81.
If over 1600m it would have been 8lbs better, ie 73?

Hi BDB
It's pretty universal that a length is worth about 1Kg over a mile, 2lbs overseas.
So 4 lenths is expresses as 8 MR points.
Carry a Kg over shorter is easier so I'm not sure about the official length=weight table the NHRA use, but 16 points may be close (some people use less than 16, perhaps 16 lbs converted to KG is 14 points)
