Jooste horse fancied for Melbourne Cup

A lot can change in a day. On Wednesday Rostropovich was a $41 hope for the Melbourne Cup. Today he is at $19.

So what's happened to cause that price collapse? Well, it was not a scintillating piece of work. He was not asked to do much this morning, but it was telling that the entire Ballydoyle team came out to watch him work.

The talk among themselves was that he had travelled over particularly well and they were keen to point out he was beaten just half a length by Latrobe when second in the Irish Derby and gets 3lb in the Melbourne Cup from that rival, who is a 14-1 shot.

Almost all the whispers in the build-up to Saturday's Stella Artois Caulfield Cup have centred around Aidan O'Brien's The Cliffsofmoher, better known to European racing fans as Cliffs Of Moher.

No Chance this year...

My trainer had a horse nominated that ran 4 lengths off Winx last start but he has made his way to HK now.

The Stable has the opportunity to have runners at 7+ tracks between Qld and Nsw. We should have 20-25 runners on the day

We will definitely be there next year once my PR is through.

Godolphin will win it. Hopefully Schofield is on the right one!
