Crawford benefit day!

Best bet on the card (for me), Magnificent Seven, can pull off the hat-trick despite the weight turn-around with Benjan.

Dr. R, the Crawford benefit day, not so sure sure. The Crawford one i do think is in with a fair winning chance is Earl Of Warwick. He has a strong hand in the first 5 races on the day, so it would appear, however many of his runners are drawn relatively wide in the said races. It's obvious to see the big Cape stables, Bass-Robinson, Crawford, Kotzen and Snaith (in no particular order of importance), are stepping out many of their horses prepping for the up and coming Cape season.

I think pace and longer term plans for respective individuals will be the deciding factors tomorrow, however, of all the crawford runners on the day, i will row in with EOW - not my best bet on the day, Crawford's best winning chance in my opinion (for what it's worth).

Race 1: Vascostreettractor is odds on. He has the beating of those that have raced but a couple of well bred first timers could surprise.
Race 2: Skye Lane looks the right one here. Secret Path has solid form and is the danger. Again some first timers to consider.
Race 3: Water Spirit was strongly fancied on debut and did enough there to win this. Bella Summer showed good improvement last time and should challenge. Doubled Over is a long time maiden but should again earn a cheque. A few others with chances.
Race 4: Retro Effect put up a decent debut and should win this with normal improvement. Nao Faz Mal should enjoy the extra and is the danger. Caesura has fair form but a wide draw.
Race 5: The betting looks wrong to me- Earl of Warwick is no even money shot in this quite open race. Room At The Top has solid form. Seattle Force may need this but is progressive. Plenty with chances.
Race 6: Magnificent Seven is maturing into a decent stayer but the price looks thin and any of Ballad Of the Sea, Benjan or Red Peril could pop up.
Race 7: Top of the Class ran a decent race last time and has further scope for improvement. I’ll pick him to win a competitive race despite taking on the older horses here. What a Winner is my pick of the rest.
Race 8: Durty Nelly is a kilo worse off with Margrethe and there was nothing in it last time. That’s enough to turn the tables but DN has the benefit of the draw. I expect them to fight this out, but ithere are others with chances.

Bayern I played the Crawford quad...races 1/2/3/5,,just to get them into the number one box ...let them run!
