App L Hewitson, the rider of DICTON, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he permitted his mount to shift inwards, at the Winning Post on the first occasion, to a point where there was insufficient room for GOLAZO, resulting in that horse being severely crowded for room and eventually losing its rightful running.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from App Hewitson that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Tuesday, 25 September 2018.
The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Wednesday, 03 October 2018 until Sunday, 07 October 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
He will be riding tomorrow

Looking at the media selections I would say the UK have the best rides followed closely by Asia and I think SA probably have the worst rides.

Re: Singapore Tuesday
6 years 8 months ago
RACE 1
SACRED MAGIC (1) – Has maintained the same good form since his maiden win. Back on winning surface. With jockey Michael Rodd in red-hot form, he may well be the horse to beat.
YULONG XIONG BA (3) – Ran his best race (third) on turf. Third race from short let-up. No fireworks expected, but a place could be within his reach.
MILITARY MIGHT (5) – Seems to get along well with Vlad Duric. Doesn’t win often but may find another length or two under the champion jockey.
FEROCIOUS (2) – Showed so much promise on debut as a juvenile, running against the likes of Be Bee and Mr Hanks. Has lost his way since. Put in one good run for new handler Young Keah Yong, but has been out of the picture since. If he runs up to his best form, he may sneak into the minors here.
RACE 2
PACIFIC OCEAN (4) – Has put in two good runs when fitted with blinkers. Will relish extra 200m. Pacifiers replaced by blinkers. Big say.
WONDERFUL PAINT (2) – Sprang an upset second-up. Steps up to 1800m on turf. Can be followed again.
O’REILLY STAR (9) – Still winless but has been looking for more ground of late. Blinker-pacifiers replaced by visors. May surprise if he is ridden quiet from the rear.
DREAM BIG (10) – Irish-bred who has not been a model of consistency here, but stuck on well behind Matsuribayashi last time out. Maybe an Irish jockey can get the best out of him.
RACE 3
MISTER YEOH (1) – Group 2 winner who made a pleasing racing comeback six weeks ago. Will find this easier, especially from the good gate. Forward showing in store.
IMPERIUM (5) – Won less easily than thought first-up from a break. Will strip fitter for this. Switch to turf will also suit better. One of the main challengers.
ETTIJAH (11) – Looked a chance in the straight at first-up run from two-month layoff. Stayed one-paced late. Did win on turf on debut. Not without some place claims in this.
CHOCANTE (
– Huge effort first-up from a break. Looks safely held by selection, but should be in the mix for the minors.
RACE 4
MORITZ ECLIPSE (6) – Showed his leg issues were behind him with a flying second to Lim’s Lightning on September 14. Will be in this for a long way.
SIAM SAPPHIRE (1) – Drops back to an easier grade after finding it harder in Kranji Stakes A company. Marble one. Winkers on. Can bounce back to winner’s circle.
SUPER POWER (3) – Lightly-raced sort but with stacks of ability. Drawn awkwardly, but if he gets a smothered run in transit, he will be attacking the line in the straight.
ARC TRIUMPH (4) – Ignore last run when he was bumped at the start and was a little keen on a wide trip. Drawn in this time but reverts to turf, over which he has only one run and didn’t do badly. Outside chance.
RACE 5
MR DUJARDIN (12) – A bit of a letdown at his last start when tested on Polytrack for the first time. Enjoyed an ideal run but failed to quicken in the home straight. Put a line through that run. He can utilise his explosive turn of foot better on turf, especially if it’s a true run race. Can atone.
TESORO PRIVADO (3) – Outermost alley is a concern, but this is one horse who has thrived in the last couple of starts. Big say if he can get into a handy spot without being used up too much.
EAGLE EYE (5) – Did not quite run up to expectations in Moonbeam Vase. Horse with plenty of upsides and can make his presence felt in this.
MCGREGOR (2) – Honest sort who duly scored at his last start. Shoulders a bit of lead, but he can still run in the top three.
RACE 6
IFFRAGAL (5) – Resumed from a bleeding attack with a slashing first-up win. Showed ability as a two-year-old filly and looks to have matured further. Joao Moreira gets on. Go close.
MO ALMIGHTY (6) – Impressive runaway winner at his second start on July 22. This is a notch tougher, but he can go well fresh. Has drawn an alley.
REVOLUTION (3) – Colt with some potential. Nearly upstaged Siam Blue Vanda last time out. In the firing line for a long way.
GOLD STRIKE (1) – Useful type who seldom disappoints. Nicely drawn. Should be thereabouts again.
RACE 7
TAICHI BELT (7) – Steamed home for a smack-up second to Lim’s Force at his last outing. Has only one win to show for, but gets his chance to improve on that tally here.
SILVER SKY (1) – Lost no marks at his last start. Wide gate against him but he can also be held up for a run. Can make the board.
SUCCESS COME TRUE (
– Had to burn plenty of petrol from a wide alley to get onto the pace last time. Drawn better this time. Pacifiers off. If rated better, she can stake a claim in this.
KING OF WAR (2) – Did not come into the race at his last start. Can threaten if he brings his turn of foot on raceday. Don’t write him off in this.
SACRED MAGIC (1) – Has maintained the same good form since his maiden win. Back on winning surface. With jockey Michael Rodd in red-hot form, he may well be the horse to beat.

Re: Singapore Tuesday

Larry Foley Analysis
benny and the jets
meeting preview for tue sep 25, 2018
Not much happens on a Tuesday night as a rule.
But rules are made to be broken and the Premier Gateway International Jockey Challenge smashes that particular decree at Kranji tonight.
Four teams of three riders each from Asia, South Africa, the UK and Australia do battle over four nominated races with 30 points allocated to the winning hoop of each race, 15 for the runner-up, 12 for third and descending down to just three for tenth.
And it's a star-studded line-up of international and local jockeys that will compete for the grand prize with Hugh Bowman - the 2017 Longines World's Best Jockey and captain of Team Australian - heading that list.
However, the regular partner of the wonder mare Winx won't be the biggest name on the card for Kranji race-goers, with Joao Moreira the only hoop the local fans want to see.
Now plying his trade in Japan, Moreira - who captains Team Asia - made his name in Singapore by smashing the records on his way to four premierships and riding no less than 206 winners in the 2012 season.
The South African's have youth on their side with their captain - Lyle Hewitson - barely out of his teens while the Team UK captain - Hayley Turner - stands alone as the only female jockey in the 12 competing.
Who wins?
It looks a very even competition although both Kerrin McEvoy (Aus) and Benny Woodworth (Asia) have strong winning rides and Mark Zahra (Aus) has a solid book, which will hold him in good steed.
Best Bets: (SACRED MAGIC race 1, win), (MISTER YEOH race 3, win) and (COME AND TAKE ALL race 7, value).
Jockey Challenge: Team; Australia, Individual; Benny Woodworth (Asia).
Bankers for Jackpots: Race 4 (1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and
, race 5 (1, 2, 3, 5 and 7), race 6 (1, 3 and 6), race 7 (2, 4 and 7).
Click on the race details for the complete race card and the horse name for its history.
Good luck and see you in the forum!

3 - TESORO PRIVADO - Drawn wide but hard to fault form and recent trial suggests he is spot on to win again.
5 - EAGLE EYE - Backed up Class 3 win with very good run in the Moonbeam Vase and that form will hold up in this field.

1 - GOLD STRIKE - In good form. Drops back in trip and on to poly but trial was solid and with Michael Rodd to ride from gate two should get a good run throughout.
6 - MO ALMIGHTY - Freshened after strong Maiden win. Trialled solidly and should get a good run from inside gate. Can be in the finish.

2 - KING OF WAR - Disappointed last start after a string of placings. Finds it hard to win but switch back to turf and 1200m may help.
7 - TAICHI BELT - Just missed last start on poly. Won Maiden on turf and could be hard to run down with Duric up.
4 - COME AND TAKE ALL - Form reads badly but race suits and showed enough late last start and at a recent trial to consider at odds.

1 - SACRED MAGIC - In good form and ran on well last start in this class on poly. Won maiden on turf and with Michael Rodd to ride hard to hold off.
7 - JOYOUS - Will enjoy being back on turf and far better suited this distance. Can give a sight from the good gate.
5 - MILITARY MIGHT - Went back from wide gate before running on poly last start. Small field suits and could be running on.

4 - PACIFIC OCEAN - Maiden who just missed on the Poly last start in this Company and more than handles the turf so can win.
2 - WONDERFUL PAINT - Improved to win at start two stepping up to the mile and pay to follow.
1 - KOKONI - Company suits as does trip and can win with support likely courtesy of Moreira.

1 - MISTER YEOH - Beaten as the odds on pop in Class 2 last start but can carry 59.5kg and make quick amends here.
5 - IMPERIUM - Just got the job done as even money favourite in easier company last start but is progressive and handles the turf so can follow.
8 - CHOCANTE - Went very close first up after spell and happy to follow back on the turf.

race 4: pgi jockeys challenge south africa (3rd leg) kranji stakes c (1) (set weights) - 1200m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 20:05 prize money: s$80000

3 - SUPER POWER - Very progressive type who won well when resuming and pay to follow.
6 - MORITZ ECLIPSE - Showed last start why the turf is his caper and goes very close on a repeat of that effort.
8 - LIM'S KNIGHT - Drawn wide but will get back and run on strong with the switch to the turf in his favour.

race 5: pgi jockeys challenge uk (4th leg) kranji stakes b (set weights) - 1600m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 20:40 prize money: s$100000

3 - TESORO PRIVADO - Drawn wide but hard to fault form and recent trial suggests he is spot on to win again.
5 - EAGLE EYE - Backed up Class 3 win with very good run in the Moonbeam Vase and that form will hold up in this field.
1 - TWICKENHAM - Form reads badly but very much appreciates this company and the mile with blinkers added.

race 6: phumelela gaming & leisure ltd trophy class 4 non premier - 1200m (polytrack) time: 21:15 prize money: s$45000

3 - REVOLUTION - Racing well and ran on stoutly to just miss last start in Novice class. Shows promise and should be hard to hold off.
Can be in the finish.

race 7: kranji stakes d (1) (set weights) - 1200m course d (lc) (turf track) time: 21:55 prize money: s$38000

Race 5
Mr Dujardin is my pick 6 banker. It looks hard to beat though it faded badly last run in the poly. Its back in the turf and Tesoro Privado ( the only danger) isnt well weighted to win this race from draw 14 even though it has enough gate speed to cross most of these horses to sit handy.
