Shorter intervals between races.

I would much prefer 25 minute intervals between races unless a big field.

14 horse or less should have 25 min intervals.

Boring waiting 35 mins per race

I know what you mean.
Maybe 25 min is cutting it fine for the following reasons....
1. Jockeys need to take a rest in between races.
2. Jockeys have to put on silks for the next race and visit the toilet.
3. Stipes need to complete their duties pertaining to the previous race.
4. Stipes need to identify the horses in the next race as per passport etc.
5. Trainer then has to saddle up.
6. Trainer/ jockey meet and greet the trainer and owners while the horses parade.
7. Punters on course needs to have a good look at their prospective punts.
8. Horses then canter down.
9. While all this is happening the starting stalls has to be re positioned.

Lastly, it gives the poor punter an extended opportunity to splurge their hard earned cash.

Happy median ..... 30 minutes me thinks

Although I get the frustration with waiting we surely have better things to do than wait in boredom for the next race. At the track or betting outlet this comment probably makes sense, but do people still regularly hang out in these places.
At home I just switch for a race and record it if I am watching a riveting game or doing some work. Without DSTV or the prescription race service the comment is valid. Perhaps free commentary of the race should be made available on radio again. The phone in line for the race commentary is also available shortly after the race.
There is no way that racing will keep me from other interests, it is high time that operators should realise that if they want to compete with other forms of entertainment they need to come to the party or risk losing our business.
The best part of racing is how little time a race actually takes up and this should be used to better effect with technology offers.

When i was gambling, "boredom" between races lead me to seek out overseas races and ultimately lead to me losing control of my punting.. Hence i ended up chucking it all together

I can relate....35min between races is way too long, and then shoes fall off.....

@ Elvis,if you have or open a WSB account you can watch every race form your mobile device, your data costs will be a lot less than your call charges.

.....you will be surprised to know that all these lines will get you through to live TT audio only....no more do they tape each race venue and replay until the next race,,,,so if you miss a race then tough luck buddy you will have to hang on listing to the studio guest or music while on smoke or piss break then you may get a result read out or if flashed on the screen and no one to read the result while other races from all over the show are being run....another shit show because of extended furlough or no one there to get it straight again.....

Some of the options are,

1. WSB (Live Video Stream)
2. DSTV Now - Mobile App (Live Video Stream)
3. Tabgold Website - Commentary available for every South African race within 5 to 7 minutes after a race
4. Gold Circle Youtube Channel - 10 to 15 minutes after every race at Greyville only
5. Tabtouch should have live commentary for South African Races before. I dont know if the still do. You can listen either through the web or through Tune In Radio.
