Will have one last go on Frankly! I’ve backed her at shorter odds, so why not again? Sw and Ex with the Tarry horse!

Fancy an early double :-
R2) Maroon Bells X (R3) Autumn Rain
R2) Maroon Bells X (R3) Autumn Rain
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Spring day - and many waiting for the rain - tracks really not in great shape at the moment - which of course is a factor in the upset results we have been getting; another very tricky card imo - thoughts:
I find it interesting that many of Bling's mounts have found support in the betting (bar the hottie in the main race  ) and I think it has been mentioned before that the Tarry stable like to see them going down first, before getting 'involved' - so what gives

R1: Probably the best bet on the card imo comes in the form of Sweet Red; comes of a rest, but should still put this field to bed on her earlier form
R2: Another one that should be hard to beat on form imo is Silken Prince; however a wide draw is not in his favor, so Maroon Bells from pole position has to be considered as well; these two stand out a bit for me as imo Nuntus Oratorion may not be at his best at this track; Toastmaster one of those that found betting support after a moderate debut over shorter
R3: Not a lot between Full of Attitude, Autumn Rain and Dan the Lad on form; FoA my first choice, but the other two will have their supporters; Bronx Bomber (Bling again ) has shortened quite a lot in the betting, but needs further improvement imo while Huyssteen looks held at the weights
R4: Pinnacle Stakes where I think Full Mast has a lot going for him - not sure why all the betting support is for Arctica, as he would prefer more ground imo; Africa Rising won a hard race last time and has something to find imo from the widest draw; the two class horses (New Predator and Captain Aldo) although both may still need a run, can easily upset at these weights
R5: Closely contested fillies and mares handicap; where 4 runners are looking for repeat victories, while one of them (Mademoiselle) is looking for the hat-trick; Nawaasi imo has been given a lot to do by the handicapper, but there does not seem to be a lot between the other 3 (Columbina, Queen of War and Mademoiselle); M has the best draw of those, which may give her the edge again; big danger imo could be Clairmorris - has been plagued by problems, but very well in at the weights, so at best could upset today
R6: Pretty Penny obviously a very nice sprinting filly and could easily get her 4th win in a row; however as the 3yr old form is still largely unclear; it could be worthwhile to include Vivir, who also looks an exciting prospect; Covered in Snow imo has a lot to do at these weights and is not well in with Schippers, who should finish 3rd from a wide draw
R7: Another case where the 3 yr old form has to stand up against the older horses; for me I think Chimichuri Run, while being the obvious one at first glance, may need to pull out all the stops against a few very capable older sprinters; Angel's Power has finished 2nd twice in this race, so can it be 3rd time lucky - has a wide draw though, so tough task; that being said, two of the likely dangers to the favorite (AP, and Clever Guy) also have wide draws to contend with; so luck in running may come into it. Splendid Garden has a fair draw, but seems held on the run behind Will Pays by Just As I Said, who could upset despite a wide draw; so it's the 3yr old or anything
R8: Real messy race; Alex the Great in form and a deserved favorite imo; however he has not won in almost 500 days; so obviously limited. Wonderous Climber another Bling mount that has found big betting support - I fail to see why, but obviously the money can't just be ignored; Minnesota somehow found a new lease of life in his last start and a repeat of that will see him go close again; Master Boulder ran behind M last time, but could get closer at the weights today; Singaswewin could place, but imo has a lot to find from that draw; two roughies to consider are Prince Jordan - he has the draw, and although his last 2 efforts have been poor, his earlier form is not that bad; then Blenderhead from pole position reverts to sprinting and could provide a real upset (on the run behind Heywot, he should finish in front of Singaswewin)
R9: Not the most difficult to race to close (hopefully); I think it lies between American Indian and Silver Peg; AI really nice win in KZN last time, and although the field today may be a bit stronger, I think he will have the run of the race from a nice draw and will go close; SP is overdue to win again and at the weights looks better off with AI - however the stable seems a bit 'off' imo; The Rising Legend is my third choice - may just need it after a break and probably is really looking for 2000 and more
Enjoy
