I wasn't going to play today having had just a cursory look at the card. Then it seemed to me that there were a few horses that looked too short in the betting and might be worth playing against. At first glance, one of those was Lord Silverio- he got his 5 lb penalty for 2.5L win, and was back in a similar class handicap. The enthusiasm for him on this site caused me to take the time to pull out the replay of his last run which I had not seen. It was then apparent why so many posters liked him- he had won with contemptuous ease and was certainly a few lbs better than his rating even without further improvement.
A lesson in the value of doing your homework, and a big thanks to all those who has taken note of his previous run and shared with the rest of us.
