my theory on driers horse

2500 horses born in SA every year
2300 rated under 70
100 rated under 70-80
truly wicked is a 85-95
driers not only has to beat us has to beat the mathematics

The older horses look very weak- the best perhaps being the inconsistent Lucara running off a 67, so the 2year olds only have to run 77 to beat him at the weights. Double Deluxe ran its barrier trial at Scottsville so the public doesn’t know what it will do on poly. The trial was ok as the one that finished in front of DD ran a close up second on debut a week ago, also at Scottsville. Truly Wicked improved nicely last time this course and distance, and is likely to improve further with the experience. I think the main danger is Exclusive Quality which has had a good run on the poly in addition to two ok runs on grass. It does not have the best of draws but should enjoy the step up in trip.
Truly Wicked at 28/10 looks a fair bet.
