Johan du Bruyn... RIP

Has sadly passed away this morning

He was best remembered for training the legendary sprinter Goldmark who Piere Strydom rated as the best he’s sat on.

Goldmark won 11 races, including the Gr1 Gilbeys Stakes, the Gr1 Mercury Sprint and the Gr1 First National, showing his class over 1600m with a one-length win over Senor Santa.

Johan had recently been Corrie Lensley’s assistant
