CLAN BEWARE!

OFFICIALS at Canterbury Park in Minnesota are aggressively protecting thier gaming and alcohol licenses by administering breathalyser tests to patrons who appear to have over-imbided at the track.

"If you're obviously over the limit, there is no grey area," said track spokesman Jeff Maday.

"Driving over the limit is illegal and we have a responsibility to not only that customer, but to the residents of Shakopee, "Scott" County and metro area.

For that customer it might not seem like the right decision, but if they're intoxicated we don't want them on the road."
Security officers at the track routinely test as many as 12 customers a week.
Opinions of those customers regarding the testing vary.

"I'm all for safety when it comes to drinking and driving," said one patron, "but it could be an infringement on peoples' rights."

No one can be forced to take the breathalyser test. For those who do and fail it, the track will call a taxi or let you wait until you have sobered up enough to drive home,

But if a racegoer insists on driving while obviously intoxicated, track security alerts the local authorities.

Thats it, the CLAN EXPRESS LUXURY BUS is on for Sat, or is it "TAXI"!
