Betting Shops: UK versus SA

I know that there is very much more competition in betting shops in the UK, but compared to South Africa it’s so nice to walk in anonymously and put on a bet without being pushed back or getting put through the ringer to get your money.

Did you forget you were betting in pounds ?

And ps you won’t get paid in cash fir a week or so

Paid within 10 minutes. £2,750 in cash and £10,000 onto my debit card. No questions asked, no fuss, no run around. Job done.

Compare that to trying to collect at Marshall’s or Betxchange shops.

Marshall’s couldn’t pay me out two weeks ago (I already put up a post on here about that) and last week I had a nightmare with Betxchange. Betxchange has the money but they demanded my passport, proof of residence and made me go to the police station to get a copy of my passport verified a true copy of the original by the police. Absolutely disgusting

SA bookies are generally a disgrace. Most bookies are a disgrace but the ones in SA particularly so!

Ja but the 10k will take 2-5 days to arrive, much longer than in SA

I don’t mind the delay. I do mind being given the run around and general reluctance to pay. I also appreciate not being pushed back and asked for verified copies of my passport and blood samples for any payouts.
