I also couldn't see the false start Warren. All gates opened at the same time and Le Havre was slow away.Shouldn't have been a false start and Le Havre should have been a runner and not scratched either.Since when does a horse qualify to be scratched because it was slow away?Unless the handler was holding onto Le Havre the race should have gone ahead I think. That messed up plenty horses chances, the right thing to do is null and void the race in my opinion.

i think the handler maybe had a hold on lh as his head was twisted towards him- Peters also said that
Fair enough then they where right to call a false start if that happened.

Even then , we have seen many races where the horse is impeded by a handler and slow , the race carries on and the review into the start is held 9/10 the horse is then scratched.

How can the who field - including first two favourites - have to start again because of a handler .

false start
noun
an invalid start to a race, usually due to a competitor beginning before the official signal has been given.

Maybe then the best thing to do is scrap false starts if the field is loaded - After the race then you can declare any horses that got either an advantage or disadvantage - Much better than half the field being pulled up and often innocent horses being scratched or running half the course -

Race 7: Royal Agree has done very well since her break, and is working well. We are trying the poly again, and have the benefit of a plum draw, but she has generally been somewhat better on the turf. However, there are so many poly opportunities that we must try her on the surface now that she is older and stronger.
This is a very competitive race, and the stable companion Hidden Thought is proven on the poly and is consistent.

IRISH MARSH
LE HARVE e/w
WOLF KILLER e/w
MISS MILANNA best e/w

BIG KING - just watched him trial... acceptable and time similar to his last win - last won 2016 carrying 63.5kg with Marcus up over this c/d in a MR 80- carries 58.5kg today - comes in as a 77 due to long rest - don't leave him out
So so close with Miss Milanna Mr.H.That centimeter or two closer in the running and it wins.

Not in my nature to complain but I think I am justified when a jock has been stood down.
I won 4 out of 11 bets in the yankee up to this point.
I hope jockey Gareth Wright can bring La Suerte home so that I can get the other 7.

Again, the drift is a huge concern
