As long as i have been racing 2yos were only allowed to compete against older horses from the 1st of april however in race 2 on monday in kimberly gobigorgohome runs in race 2 against older horses a 5 furlong maiden...has rule 40.2.3 changed or is it another error from the nhra ..if it has changed i cannot find any update on their website then as a 2yo he should be recieving an allowance and not have to carry 60kg and also how he has got a merit rating from ONLY ONE RUN AGAINST MAIDEN JUVENILE COMPANY IS BEYOND ME AS i find impossible that the handicapers have any sense of where the2yos are rated so early in the season or maybe its a thumbsuck from those who work at computaform who have him TIPPED 3RD IN THEIR BEST WEIGHTED COLUMN BUT HAVENOT SUBTRACTED THE WEIGHT FOR AGE ALLOWANCE HE WOULD RECIEVE BEING A 2YO ..SOMEWHERE SOMEBODY HAS FUCKED UP BIG TIME ..PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE

Cousin Floyd spoke to Vee and they feel that Kimberley being North of Gauteng makes the horse a year older than if it had run in Gauteng. They felt that the older horses are so bad in Kimberley that a weight allowance would be unfair hence the 60 kg

Before commenting on the thread itself, I must say that Pirates is very very sharp and nothing escapes him in Racing.

I agree with Pirates. To the best of my knowlege, the only mistake could be the age of the horse. If that is the case, then the horse should not have been allowed to run in the Maiden Juvenile Plate, first time out. Why I say this is because I only use Winning Form as my form guide and evey horse in Winning Form has its date of birth next to its name. With this horse, they have
him as a 2yo, gelded 16 December 2017, but no date of birth.....

This is interesting.

Pirates I read on SP that Barends tells his staff that it his his opinion rules are there as guidelines, well looking at this, it seems that this is true.
