Here are mine for 2018 punting
1. Staying away from Flamingo and English football betting

2. Saturdays are bookies day especially UK hence low stakes

3. Kenilworth with few fields is bloody and i would go wide nomatter how easy the race looks like

I will have a similar strategy to that of 2017. My resolution last year was to ensure that no gambling monies of mine would land up in Phumelelas coffers. So last year with one exception, my entire spend went to bookmakers with no operator ties, and preferably those who refuse to pay the extortionist Tellytrack fees, and open bets. The one exception was I had a go on Interbet in a moment of weakness. This will not happen again. 2018 will be a "no Phumelela gain from my buck" year. I encourage others who feel likewise to do the same. Its the right thing to do.

To fully quit punting on SA Racing.Im only down to Fairview and Turffies now coz im so lucky there.Once ive given that up aswell...ill have even more time for my new found Love...HK Racing!!!!!

I would also want to support them, but can't have that one

1. Trust my eyes not my ears
2. Go with my gut when I am sure of a winner
3. Bet big when the circumstances are right

Which is pretty much my gambling life motto (courtesy of the 1976 Duff's Guide by Ernie Duffield): A good punter has patience and courage. Patience to wait for the right bet and the courage to bet big when it comes around.
