Came up with an interesting bit of trivia if I'm correct after searching the archives. Unfortunately you cannot state the year when they last had a non runner prior to this year's running but rather the season. In January 2008 they no runners in the Guineas but then the Guineas of the 2008/2009 season got brought forward to December 2008 so technically in 2008 they had a runner but the season of 2007/2008 they had none.

Subsequently all the Guineas has been run in December from the 2008/2009 season.

Thanks Naresh - Thought so been a long time since they the biggest buyers have not had a runner. When one goes to a top sale ie Nationals the first horse you look for is a classic miler colt. For stallion prospects .

Surprizsed - Maybe Bergman is not so hot after all. he should stick to being a bookmaker punter. Oh forgot he was so bad at that , thats why he became racing manager.

:) couldnt find a top filly and cant find a top colt - with open cheque book. At their own sales .

Like saying O'brian could not find an Epson Derby runner
