The loss of any horse is a sad occasion --- they give us such joy, condolences to the connections -- Jallad, an illustrious influence.

Rest in Peace Jallad.
One of my all time favorite stallions. Jallad I believe had a breathing problem during his racing career. His dam, Petrava, was a multiple Grade 1 winner in South Africa. Jallad's half sister was the well performed Grade 1 winner, Hoeberg who raced for David Payne. It's no coincidence that one of my favorite horses of the 2000s Free My Heart, was the progeny of Jallad. Go well, champ.

I remember his dam Petrava gracing our racecourses. I think she won the FNB 1600?
