RA - Are these allegations true

I am reading the comments on Sporting Post and see that that Larry allegedly receives R250000 a month. Surely this cannot be accurate? I also see a comment about the RA website costing R60000 a month ie. R720000 a year. Now I am no IT fundi but that seems to be an exaggeration too?

Why is it an "allegation"? No one has accused anyone of wrong doing. Expressing an opinion about the cost of something, whether it's cheap or expensive, is not an accusation or an allegation.

I say allegedly because I am responding to comments on SP. I have asked where the info resides and until I see something in black and white I will remain unconvinced.

The "emolument" amounts are on the RA website contained in the annual report and show that the numbers you mention Jurgs are +/- correct.

This is not about defending Mr Wainstein but his position,

As a CEO I think at R250000.00 the position is grossly underpaid. When I worked at a very large bank ( a few tears ago) there were at least 30 people earning over this amount. The "average" CEO earns a lot more than that in SA to-day. (Im not talking about the top 100 either).



Jurgs as regards a web site costing R60000.00 per month they should consider themselves lucky to be able to get away with such a low figure. I presume this includes the IT staff salaries as well?. A decent programmer/analyst/designer would cost in excess of that figure. ! I am once again not commenting on the content/workability/necessity of their site.

3 million per annum seems quite high. the RA is no way a large entity and can be run out of the boot of a Citi Golf

What are his targets and deliverables? Who does his performance reviews?
