I cannot bring myself round to praise a man or his site who is known to have been the author of stirring up racial hatred.

I've just read the article on freeracer. Seems like Charl's recent prediction ( to close ABC down ) has done a big U turn & bit him on his own arse. ( temporarily I'm sure )

By the same token I think Charl will be back..... after serving a 3 or 6 month suspension ( jockeys get time, trainers get time & it looks like the men with the PEN get time as well )

Guys, I sincerely hope this is the begining of a more civil approach toward all parties within the SA Horse Racing Industry. And I read Charl's lead on his site, and although not fully apologitic, nonetheless wanting to let bygones be bygones.

As I said at the time, 'ABC' has a disclaimer on it's boards - as does 'Freerace'. And therefore to 'attack' Chris - who's just a regular family guy - is nothing short of Bullying.

And I went on to say not to be surprised, who would come to his defence as NO ONE likes a bully, and just look who did!

So now what?

Whether what Mike Nunes said was/wasn't actionable, was, and continues to be, between himself and Charl - NOT ABC - plain and simple!

As far as the argument that 'we' attack P one minute, and then go crying to them the next, misses the point imvho.

The so-called 'attack' is only what some personally think unfair, and not in Racing's interest. Indeed, there have been times when praise has come - 'you be the judge' for instance.

But to say that when a member of P acts unfairly toward anyone (and it could have been you!), because of such past incidents, you can't complain of such an action - such an argument would mean that you never get any joy from a party that does you wrong, and therefore can't be right!

In closing, as I stated above, I sincerely hope that 'we' can come together and sort out the Racing Industry collectively.

Too much energy spent making everybody look like clowns.
The amount of constructive interaction on genuinely important issues has dwindled to a trickle.
Pity because a lot of guys say they cant be bothered anymore to visit the site and read all the personal nonsense.
