In defence of the Azzies (never thought I'd utter those words) and all trainers ..... they have a job to do - and in this case the job is to give the horse the best possible chance of winning the 'big' one - and they picked what they thought would be the best route to achieve that goal.
Yes, the uninformed punters are getting the short end of the straw, but if you want to take part in this game, you can not be just a casual observer and expect the same results that 'seasoned' punters get who take the time to become aware of these sort of situations.
Maybe not quite the same thing, but many 'punters' took the view that United would try to beat Liverpool, but the manager thought it was best for the team to ensure that they don't lose - so from the moment they stepped onto the pitch, it was clear that they were playing for the draw - and bugger those punters who took a bet on a United win before the game started.
The absolute balls up in the 4th was imo a much more damaging incident if one considers 'fairness' to the punters - nobody could foresee that the hot favorite would be scratched and that some idiot (starter ?) made a obviously uninformed decision - 'bugger this - we got the horses in the stalls, so let's race'

Just back from the big T - Punters swearing because of the scratching- BUT I have not been racing for maybe 3 years and I was blown away by the amount of people that were attending the Equnity (sic) - I left at 8 and people were still arriving - No idea what the concept is but hell it was packed - well done to whoever organized that -

Great Evening at the Night Racing , who says racing is not full of everything - Lots of good racing , drama.
Enjoyed Mother Russia's win very easy , great ride by Craig Z. - Well done to Grant M. and Ryan Munger not there fault the favourite got scratched , I was just pissed I only had places on QUEEN LAURIE. Punters very upset on course with no delay called, but they got a bit out of hand swearing and shouting at Larry who has nothing to do with the start of a race.
Joe Soma's winner in the 2nd was impressive , however one for the note book was the 2nd horse of Candice Dawson D’ ARRIVEE he is huge and still a baby , but is one of those horses that just has such presence in the ring .
Well done to my good friends Kevan Hunter and Gavin Jooste of Acoutstic Insurance - Kevan sponsors the running of the Victory Moon - Great finish - Stiff Tony T . But my money was on the winner so no complaints .
I got 33/10 fixed places but disappointing never the less. You called the winner, well done. !!

I am not exactly sure but I think Jessica Slack (Gel) had something to do with it. I saw some of her guests dressed up in themed outfits.

I suppose we all feel the same tonight. A p6 that disintegrated in r4
My 2nd much bigger p6 returned positive at least. But let bygones be bygones I suppose
Well done to all the good predictions tonight. working and punting don't go hand in hand
