Notwithsatnding, a few UK/Irish Bookies even give 1/5th first 5!!!

I thought it was 1/4 first three;

1/5 first four;

1/6 first five?

I think it's 1/4 first 3 if Handicap 12runners+ - 1/4 first 4 16runners+

The additional place I believe some give and that it's a 1/5th - however you could be right @1/6th - Help - Calling Scotia - lol!

The % is irrelevant !! Interbet can offer 10 places if they want - they have no liabilty. Only them and Bettingworld ( yes, Bettingworld ) aren't offering 4 places.

This is a long story with many variations, but a good bookie should give 1/4 the odds for a place, but would restrict to 3 places, in a 16 horse handicap, for 4 places the 1/4 odds would be reduced. In addition if a money-on shot in a race has a serious effect on the place odds for the other runners.
